Bunga Bunga, Maggies and Cahoots operator Inception Group will open its first Mr Fogg’s bar in Soho early next year.

The London-based group, which is led by Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling, has secured the lease assignment of the former ‘Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecote’ restaurant on 50 Dean Street and successfully changed the planning permission from a restaurant use (class E) to a bar use (sui generis).

It will become site number eight in the Mr Fogg’s collection, with the opening planned in early 2023.

“We are very excited to be bringing Mr Fogg’s to such a prime location in Soho and we can’t wait to reveal the very unique concept we have imagined for this space,” says Gilkes.

Launched in 2013, Mr. Fogg’s is themed around the explorer Phileas Fogg.

The portfolio currently includes Mr Fogg's Residence in Mayfair, Mr Fogg's Gin Parlour in Covent Garden and Mr Fogg's House of Botanicals in Fitzrovia, with each location having its own signature cocktail menu to explore.

Most recently the group launched Mr Fogg’s Apothecary on Brook Street, opposite Claridge’s Hotel, in Mayfair.

Inception Group was founded by Gilkes and Stirling in 2009.

It other concepts include The London Gin Club and prohibition-era brand Barts.
