A restaurant in Chigwell, Essex, which counts businessman Alan Sugar, boxer Tyson Fury and footballer Harry Kane among its regulars is to launch a London outpost in Mayfair.

Sheesh London will open at One Dover Street following a renovation of the site and is expected to be an extension of its Chigwell flagship.

"The sun has finally shined down on me," says Dylan Hunt, founder of Sheesh.

"Four years of negotiations and I've finally got the best spot in London."

Hunt launched Sheesh Chigwell on the site of the Ye Olde Kings Head pub, which is reputed to be the second oldest public house in England, in 2010.

The menu features a broad range of Mediterranean and Turkish-inspired dishes including a selection of sheesh kebabs cooked over charcoal and served with salad.

Other dishes include a wagyu burger; truffle steak; lobster cocktail; and ezme salad served with homemade bread.

As well as a downstairs dining room, Sheesh Chigwell also features a first floor cocktail bar and lounge that's exclusively available to diners and private members.

Sheesh's private membership scheme guarantees users a table to dine anywhere in the restaurant at any day or time, unlimited access to the upstairs cocktail bar, and priority booking for special events.
