Entertainment hospitality brand Pacha Group is bringing its ‘show and dining experience’ brand Lío to the West End next year.

Opening in February 2023, Lío London will occupy the site that was formerly late night London landmark Café de Paris and will combine dinner, entertainment, and a club under one roof.

Pacha Group debuted the Lío concept in Ibiza over a decade ago as a ‘modern interpretation of an immersive cabaret show’ that brings together singers, dancers, acrobats and international artists for an evening of performances curated by its creative director Joan Gràcia.

After the show, the venue transforms into a late-night club that can house up to 715 people with the stage disappear into the ground to reveal a dance floor.

Chef Adam Rawson, previously of The Standard in New York and London, will lead the food offer at the venue, which will have a restaurant space that seats 200 covers, with the wine programme overseen by head sommelier Romaine Aurdrerie, who has previously worked with Andre Balazs for the opening of Chiltern Firehouse.

Design elements of the Grade II listed building will include mirrored ceilings and a moveable DJ booth, with the original 1924 double-sided staircase remaining a key feature of the space. Guests can sit on the original ballroom floor, or on a wraparound mezzanine level.

“Since opening its fabled doors in the 1920s, Café de Paris has long been a symbol for indulgence, style and glamour, and we are thrilled to be taking it into the next phase of its life,” says Sanjay Nandi, CEO of Pacha Group.

“True to its roots, it will remain somewhere that people can come and experience the absolute best entertainment hospitality. It’s creative, wild and seriously good fun - we know London is going to love Lío!”
