The UK's top 50 boutique hotels revealed
The list of top destinations comes in advance of the full announcement of the Top 50 Boutique Hotels, sponsored by Taylors of Harrogate, which takes place later this month and which ranks the best boutique hotels in the UK as voted for by a panel of industry experts, travel writers and critics.
The rankings will be revealed at a special awards ceremony taking place at Lillibrooke Manor in Maidenhead, Buckinghamshire, on 22 November.
Special awards will also be handed out on the day in a number of categories including Unique Experience, Service, Food and Drink, and the Highest New Entry.
The inaugural Top 50 Boutique Hotels event, which is run by BigHospitality's sister title The Morning Advertiser, was held last year with The Newt in Somerset claiming the top spot.
Lancashire restaurant with rooms Moor Hall won the Food and Drink Award, and Links House at Royal Dornoch took home the Unique Experience award.
The annual awards recognise brilliant boutique hotels located across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and are judged on criteria that include the food and drink offer, service, style and decor and how venues work with their location to offer unique experiences to guests.
Boutique hotels are generally considered to have between five and 50 rooms for the purposes of the list.
