Italian casual dining chain Vapiano has launched its first restaurant in four years, in London's Paddington.

Located on the corner of Eastbourne Terrace and Craven Road, it is the group's fourth site in the capital and its sixth overall in the UK.

Spread across 4,500sq ft, the new Paddington restaurant holds 168 covers and will feature hand-drawn murals from Swedish artist Matilde Petterson and a 'signature' olive tree that will sit in the centre of the space.

A separate bar will sit alongside the restaurant space, which will boast sharing tables and 'laid-back' seating areas.

Similarly to Vapiano's other sites, the menu will feature a selection of handmade fresh pasta and pizza dishes including pasta with king prawns, onions, cream, Italian hard cheese, nutmeg, fresh spinach, cherry tomatoes and basil pesto; and pizza topped with salami, tomato sauce and mozzarella.

A range of antipasti and salad options will also be offered.

Vapiano was founded in Cologne, Germany, in 2002 and first opened in London in 2008. It has gone on to establish sites in Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Tower Bridge, alongside outposts in Manchester and Edinburgh that launched in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
