'Disruptive' street food brand Pizza Taxi is to launch its first location at Canteen, the food hall on Greenwich Peninsula in London.

Founded by Marco Jerrentrup, former chef at London restaurants Hoxton Market Square and Moro, Pizza Taxi offers pizza by the slice with toppings inspired by international flavours.

“Pizza Taxi will take you on a ride around the world, promising flavours that you’ve never had before on a dough that comes straight from the best in the business,” says Jerrentrup.

“Greenwich Peninsula’s Canteen Food Hall and Bar is the perfect place for us to park up.”

Some of the more unconventional toppings available at Pizza Taxi include coconut jackfruit curry with ginger, coriander, sweet chilli sauce and Comté; and ham, potato and mature cheddar with mustard and pea sauce.

There will also be more traditional options such as pepperoni; and fior di latte cheese with oregano, basil oil and tomato sauce.

Pizzas will be sold by the slice at £3.60 each, or be available by the quarter (£6.80) or half (£9.60).

Canteen is located within Greenwich Peninsula’s Design District and launched in the summer of 2021. It houses a total of six rotating street food kitchens. Other operators currently in residence include Mexican street food brand Hermanos Taco House; congee and youtiao street food concept Juk Pou; and Venezuelan arepa slinger Guasa.
