Bocca Di Lupo has announced it has appointed Angelo Albera as its chef de cuisine.

Albera joined the Soho Italian restaurant last month and is working alongside Jacob Kenedy, who remains its chef-patron.

Born in Casale Monferrato, a town in the Piedmont region in Italy, Albera’s cooking career is grounded in Italian cuisine. He was previously head chef at Cantina del Ponte in London’s Tower Bridge, where he worked for three years, and his CV also includes a stint overseas in Abu Dhabi, where he worked as speciality chef at Amici Restaurant for three years.

In his new position, he will be responsible for overseeing and managing the kitchens’ daily operations, ‘and ensuring culinary excellence at all times’, according to the restaurant.

“I am delighted to be joining Bocca Di Lupo. I believe it is one of London’s most authentic Italian restaurants, and I look forward to bringing my own experience to its vibrant and accomplished kitchen team,” he says.

Bocca Di Lupo was opened in Soho in late 2008 by Kenedy and his business partner Victor Hugo. The award-winning restaurant specialises in the food and wine from all across Italy's 20 regions and has regularly appeared in Restaurant magazine’s list of the top 100 restaurants in the UK.
