Pret a Manger will open its third vegetarian-only shop next Wednesday (11 October).

It will be the brand’s first shop to launch exclusively as a vegetarian-only restaurant, the previous two being conversions of original Pret a manger sites.

The store, located on Exmouth Market, will open with a new menu of both vegan and vegetarian items. These include a vegan beans and avocado power breakfast pot; a mushroom florentine toasted tortilla; a sweet potato, coconut and cashew flatbread; a vegan hot wrap with ragu and red peppers; an Italian baguette with mozzarella and lentil sauce; an avocado and falafel flatbread; and a halloumi and red pepper toasted sandwich.

The new menu items will be available at the Soho and Shoreditch Veggie Prets from tomorrow (3 October).

The opening of the vegetarian-only store follows on from the unexpected success of the original Veggie Pret, which opened in June 2016 as a pop-up. It was made a permanent venue in September 2016, and the Shoreditch iteration was opened in April 2017.

Pret recently removed the ‘Veggie Only’ fridges from its stores to make space for a new Autumn menu. The company found that people were more likely to choose vegetarian options from the fridge when they were clearly labelled and integrated with non-vegetarian options.
