Operators in the hospitality industry are bracing themselves for a drop in food sales figures with 30 per cent expecting either a fall in sales or no change at all, according to Horizons’ and JRA’s Eating Out-Look survey.
Out-of-home visits for lunch and afternoon snacks have dropped by six per cent over the past two years as breakfast and early evening meals are proving more popular, up by three and 12 per cent respectively.
