Payment specialist Consolis has developed a low-cost EPoS system for small and medium-sized hospitality businesses which it says will help them have access to the same kind of chip and pin, contactless and mobile payment systems used by larger companies.

Product details:

Consolis Payments' new service allows hotels, restaurants and pubs to link their EPoS system or standalone cash register to an IP payment terminal. The service is designed to help hospitality providers migrate quickly and easily to integrated payments and comes with a guarantee that every payment terminal will be up and running within seven days following completion of the regulatory paperwork.

USP:

Consolis Payments has worked in installing point of sale equipment and EPoS software for a number of years so considers itself a leader in terms of understanding how credit and debit card machines can work cost effectively with EPoS systems and cash registers.

Cost:

The cost will be based on a restaurant, hotel or pub's EPoS system plus a monthly rental fee for a compatible payment terminal.

Availability:

Why should you buy it?:

Consolis says that by being able to switch to affordable integrated till and payment systems, small and medium-sized hotels and hospitality providers will benefit from faster payment processing, shorter queues and the kind of cost savings enjoyed by the large multiples.

With recent research showing that more than a quarter of mobile users will use their devices to pay bills by 2017, hospitality operators signing up to the service would be able to meet this growing need as well as serve the increasing number of customers who want to pay by contactless cards.
