Tiger Bills eyes London rollout
The five-strong group plans to open nine outlets across the capital over the next three years, with the as-yet-unnamed master franchisee actively seeking sub-franchisees and suitable real estate sites to make that vision a reality.
James Eyre, who launched the brand in 2007, believes the popularity of Tiger Bills’ existing sites – which span from Torquay to Newcastle – makes it an ideal business to compete in the busy London market.
“This is a major deal for the Tiger Bills Franchise team,” said Eyre. “We’re really excited about bringing the East meets West brand to the Capital.
“Recent launches elsewhere in the UK have proved the popularity of the cuisine and overall dining experience offered by the Tiger Bills brand - with over 200 people at Consett’s launch and it was also fully booked at weekends immediately after.
“To ensure every new franchise is a success, we have developed a comprehensive start-up and ongoing support package. We know that to be a successful franchisor and to keep the Tiger Bills brand alive, it is essential that our franchisees thrive.”

Earlier this year, Eyre told BigHospitality he was looking at sites in 24 locations across the UK for the brand, with Midlands-based franchisee Craig Lewis - who opened Tiger Bills Birmingham last year - already planning to open up to 12.
In October, qualified solicitors Mustaque Rahman and Istiaq Hasan took Tiger Bills to the North East with the opening of the group's latest site in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside.
Tiger Bills currently operates in Birmingham, Exeter, Torquay, Whitley Bay and Consett. The Bar-Wok-Grill neighbourhood dining concept serves a range of Western dishes such as steaks, burgers and ribs alongside an extensive Thai menu of soups, curries and stir fries. Main dishes average £7.
