The Paris restaurant for nude dinners is closing its doors for good later this month

O’Naturel. That’s the French strip club that also serves food?
Not quite. It’s the first restaurant in Paris exclusively for naked diners to come, eat, drink and let it all hang out.

Oooh, cheeky. But it opened over a year ago, why are we talking about it now?
Because the restaurant will shut for good next month after failing to get enough (naked) bums on seats. You could say it barely made any money.

That’s a shame. The French clearly aren’t as broad minded as they might have us believe...
You could say the restaurant had something of the emperor’s new clothes about it.

But you’ve got to give them credit for giving it a go. Us prude Brits wouldn’t get our kit off to eat, that’s for sure.
Don’t be too hasty. Back in June 2016 The Bunyadi opened in London, claiming to offer its guests ‘true liberation’. Demand was high, with the advance waiting list purported to be 3,900 people strong.

Good for us! What happened?
It was only a temporary thing, although the people behind it did announce plans to open a permanent site, nothing has come to fruition yet. Its website, however, still states it is looking for investment to make it happen.

That’s what I call naked ambition.
Well done, we knew you’d squeeze that in somewhere.
