Fried chicken burger brand Butchies will open its seventh site in the capital later this year as it looks to restart its expansion.

The new restaurant will open at 120 Tooley Street in London Bridge, joining sites in Ealing, Canary Wharf, Clapham, Earl's Court, Shoreditch, and Victoria.

Butchies serves an all-day menu of burgers and wings with options including The Original fried chicken sandwich with house pickles and homemade garlic; and the Cheesy Rider burger with cheese dripping, house pickles and Butchies’ sriracha chilli sauce. It also sells a range of wraps and plant-based 'chicken' sandwiches alongside salad bowls and sides such as mac 'n' cheese, popcorn chicken, and slaw.

The opening will see the fried chicken brand return to expansion having shuttered a number of sites over the past few years. The group had announced plans to open a restaurant in London’s Borough Yards, for what would have been its ninth site, but that failed to launch. Other closures included stalls in Market Halls Fulham, which closed permanently in 2021; and Market Halls West End.

Butchies was founded in 2013 by Garrett and Emer FitzGerald, and started out life operating at street food markets, music festivals and pop-ups before moving into bricks and mortar in 2017.
