Mayfair members’ club Caviar Kaspia is opening the doors of its in-house restaurant KASPIA to the general public for the first time.

Previously restricted to members of Caviar Kaspia, the venue opened in London at the start of last year in the site that was once private members' venue Chess Club having previously run a pop-up in the city in 2017.

It is set over three floors of a Georgian building, with the restaurant located on the first floor.

Caviar is central to the menu, appearing in signature dishes such as caviar tagliolini with Imperial Baeri caviar and champagne cream sauce; and dover sole with caviar beurre blanc. The restaurant's signature dish is its caviar baked potato, where guests can choose the variety of caviar they would like to accompany it, ranging from Oscietra to Beluga, served with crème fraîche and chives.

Caviar Kaspia was founded in 1927 and opened its restaurant on Paris’ Place de la Madeleine in 1953. It operates venues in New York, Dubai, Sao Paulo, Saint Tropez, and Los Angeles.

Caviar continues to experience something of a renaissance in the capital, featuring on menus at new restaurants including Bebe Bob, and Payvllon. Mayfair has also welcomed a new luxury bar and restaurant with a focus on ‘direct-sourced’ caviar. Called The Caviar Bar, it opened last month in Medici Courtyard in Hanover Square.
