The smash burger revival in the capital shows no signs of abating with the opening of a number of new concepts this month.

Next Monday (13th) burger newbies Supra Burger (pictured above) will begin a residency running at the Cocotte site in Queens Park in north west London.

Located on Salisbury Road, it will be serving five smash burgers alongside a range of sides and sauces at Cocotte, which is also run by Supra Burger founder Romain Bourrillon.

Burger options will include the namesake Supra Burger made with cheese, onion, pickles and Supra sauce; a bacon cheeseburger; classic cheeseburger; Spicy BBQ; and a truffle burger made with cheese, crispy onions and truffle sauce.

Four sides will be available: fries, truffle fries, popcorn Ch#ken, and chicken tenders.

The pop-up comes at a time when London is in the grip of smash burger fever. Recent entries into the sector include Supernova, which opened in Soho last year, and London-based steakhouse and barbecue restaurant group Temper, which has just opened the first site under its new ‘sustainable’ smash burger concept in White City.

SMSH BN to open in London

This month also sees the opening of smash burger restaurant SMSH BN on Charing Cross Road. Described as concept that has 'redefined the classic smash burger experience with a modern twist and touch of elegance', t is the brainchild of South Africa-born chef Mark Morrans, whose previous roles include group head chef at Scott Hallsworth's Kurobuta, executive chef at Señor Ceviche, and executive chef at Inca London and Mistress of Mayfair.

On SMSH BN's menu are burgers such as the Wagyu Cheese, Wagyu House, and Vegan SMSH BN as well as skin-on fries. The restaurant also serves a Breakfast SMSH BN of an English muffin, beef smashed sausage, egg, American cheese and special sauce; Smash'd croissant; and a five-strong range of milkshakes.

The restaurant has a retro aesthetic with pink, green and lilac colour palette and white tiled serving bar and floor.
