Hotel management company Leaf Hospitality has set out its 10- year expansion plan after signing its third hotel in the North East of England.

The independent group has reached an agreement with Nightel 2 Ltd to manage the 100-room Hampton by Hilton at Humberside Airport, originally set to open this year.

The hotel is designed to cater to leisure guests and offshore workers needing access to the wind farms and oil and gas industries in the North Sea.

It will take Leaf’s portfolio to almost 300 rooms, joining its other managed properties the Holiday Inn Express Grimsby and the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln – which opened last year.

The deal comes as the firm announces its latest growth target of managing 20 hotels by 2025.

Leaf said the Humberside signing was a step towards achieving its ‘ambitious’ expansion plans.

Richard Farrar, founder of Leaf Hospitality, said: “The Airport is a convenient gateway to Northern Europe for guests traveling in and out of The Humber so we’re confident of its long term popularity and our commitment to deliver exceptional hotel performance.”

The new-build Hampton by Hilton at Humberside will feature a bar, gym and on-site parking.

Its owner Nightel 2 Ltd specialises in providing accommodation for offshore workers in the oil and gas industry.
