Sandals opens first hotel store in London
The Luxury Travel Store opened on Fulham Road in Chelsea last week where it allows potential Sandals, Beaches or Grand Pineapple guests to gain an insight into what they can expect from a stay at the resorts.
The £1m 5,000 sq ft shop has a number of interactive features, from a research area - a 'virtual sightsee' of the resorts showing video footage of resorts on 30 55" LCD TV screens to The Sandals bar where visitors can sit and sample the resorts' Robert Mondavi wines and spirits while arranging their bookings.
Other features include a Wedding Lounge for guests looking to arrange their big days and the Beaches Family Zone where visitors can play on an XBox and have photos taken in a photo booth while booking their next family holiday.
Sandals UK & Europe managing director Karl Thompson said the 'immersive nature' of the store is designed to show off all aspects of the resorts while making the booking experience 'more personable'.
"We are very excited to be making our mark on the high street and extending our longstanding commitment to providing a high quality of customer service to our guests," he said. "The substantial investment in this retail experience further demonstrates the growth potential in the UK market."
There are currently 15 Sandals, three Beaches and two Grand Pineapple resorts in the Caribbean.
