Vivek Singh, Brian Turner and Jun Tanaka are among the high-profile chefs set to take part in this year’s Eden Project Festival of Food.

Scheduled for 9-11 September, the festival will feature a range of local and regional producers, plus wine tastings and food stalls.

Singh, who will appear on 9 September, is best-known for his Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen and Cinnamon Soho restaurants, as well as seven cookbooks and many years of TV appearances.

Veteran chef and presenter Turner (11 September) has decades of cooking and TV experience including opening the Michelin-starred Capital hotel in London with Richard Shephard in 1971, and regular involvement in chef mentoring as chairman of the Academy of Culinary Arts. He was awarded a CBE in 2002.

Tanaka (also scheduled for 11 September) has worked at some of the UK’s top Michelin-starred restaurants, including Le Gavroche and The Square, as well as being trained by Marco Pierre White. He is currently head chef-patron of London site The Ninth.

John Whaite, winner of the third series of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off and columnist, will also be taking part on 9 September, alongside chef and presenter Phil Vickery (10 September), and TV chef and cookery school founder Lesley Waters (10 September).

There will also be workshops for children on topics such as where food comes from, plus a range of dishes from Eden’s existing restaurants, including pizza and paella from the Mediterranean-inspired Med Terrace, or South-American-style burritos.

Marion Harrison, Festival of Food organiser, said: “This year’s festival is going to be a packed three-day celebration of the very best in food and drink. Our stellar line-up of celebrity chefs will be sharing top tips, with something for every taste.”

The Eden Project is a sustainability project in Cornwall, first founded in 1995 and opened in 2001. It is best known for its different ‘biomes’, which bring together fauna and flora within defined climates and temperatures.
