OpenTable offers service to create mobile websites for restaurants
Product details:
Restaurant reservations service OpenTable has teamed up with DudaMobile to offer its customers the chance to create a mobile version of their restaurant's website for free, helping them to capitalise on the increase in the number of diners using their smart phones to make bookings. The process of creating a mobile version takes minutes to action and is available for free to OpenTable customers in the UK until 1 February 2013.
USP:
According to the latest Ofcom Communications Market Report, 39 per cent of adults in the UK now own a smartphone yet OpenTable estimates that fewer than 10 percent of reservation-taking restaurants have mobile optimised sites. The service offered claims to be quick and easy to use and is designed to improve the appearance of a restaurant's website via mobile devices rather than bring in dramatic changes to the site's look.
Cost:
Free to OpenTable customers until 1 February 2013. Those who sign up after 31 January 2013 will be charged a monthly fee.

Why you should buy it:
“More than ever, diners are choosing where to eat and making bookings based on information accessed on their mobile devices, yet the majority of restaurant websites are not designed for mobile use,” said Mike Xenakis, managing director of OpenTable Europe. “By removing the added time and cost required to create and host mobile-friendly sites, we are making it simple for restaurants to reap the benefits of the shift to mobile.”
