Dale Gill, head chef, Legacy Woodhall Spa Hotel

Dale Gill​ has taken over as head chef at the Legacy Woodhall Spa Hotel ​and his first task was to design the venue’s Christmas menu.

Dale joins the hotel having worked as a head chef for 11 years with the past four years being at the Bagden Hall Hotel in Huddersfield

“I decided to move to the area with my wife and two children because it looked like a nice part of the country,” said the 39-year-old, who has been in the trade for 23 years after training at the Rotherham College of Arts and Technology.

“We have finished designing the Christmas menu and went for a more traditional approach, opting to use local produce where possible, British beef and English lamb.”

Ivan Bennett, general manager at the Legacy Woodhall Spa Hotel, said: “Dale brings a wealth of experience to the kitchen and he is a great addition to our team.

“Christmas is obviously an important time of year for us and we feel this has helped us get off to a great start.”
