Matthew Mawtus, operations director, Charlottes Holdings
Mathew Mawtus has been appointed operations director at Charlottes Holdings, which owns Charlottes Place in Ealing and Charlottes Bistro in Chiswick.
Mawtus, who joins from 1 Lombard Street, will oversee major buying decisions at both restaurants with a major remit on overhauling the wine list.
“We are over the moon to be able to make these promotions and hires,” said Alex Wretham, chief executive of Charlottes Holdings. “We’re a young, vibrant company and we are passionate about what we do, who we work with, where we source our food from.
“In 2012 I’d like to see more people viewing us as a destination restaurant and not just a local restaurant because we are so proud of what we are serving and how we present ourselves.”
