Chefs at catering company ISS Eaton are being encouraged to create a British menu to be served abroad as part of this year`s Guest Chef Exchange programme.

The programme is designed to encourage the company`s chefs to be ambitious and innovative while showing off their skills.

All entrants have been asked to plan a three day British menu that can be served in any European country. Finalists will be selected to run their proposed plan on site before one  winner is invited to ISS Eaton’s Denmark operation to put their ideas into practice.

ISS Eaton Managing Director, Simon Titchener said: “We believe it essential to encourage our team to think outside of the box and stimulate fresh thinking, how they can introduce new products and experiment with cooking methods to bring valuable benefits for our consumers.  It involves the whole company, it represents opportunity to visit overseas sites and see how other operations work across different cultural barriers.  And most important, our chefs love it.”

Criteria for entry include chefs setting out key objectives for the promotion, details of planning and research they would put in place prior to the event and a look at the resources they would need to deliver the promotion.
