Twinings follows growing trend for Redbush tea
The soaring popularity of Redbush tea has prompted Twinings foodservice to launch a brand of its own

Following a recent trend for Redbush tea, Twinings have announced the launch of their own brand available for the catering sector.

Available in 6x 50 envelopes, the Redbush tea is a sweet, caffeine-free tea-like drink that has become increasingly popular in the UK lately. With a market worth £8m and a year on year growth of 39 per cent, Redbush tea is fast out-growing the popularity of its green alternative, providing health conscious drinkers with all the goodness and antioxidants of their regular cuppa, without the caffeine.

Andrea Stopher, Senior Customer Marketing Manger for Twinings, said: “With health high on the agenda, research has revealed that reducing caffeine intake has become a key consumer driver. Twinings Redbush is perfectly positioned for this market as it is not only naturally caffeine free but it offers the same great, fresh tea taste as mainstream tea.”

Twinings Redbush tea is grown exclusively in South Africa using only the tips of young shoots of the redbush plant in order to create that rich, amber colour and flavoursome taste. It can be enjoyed with or without milk, with a little sugar or honey stirred in to taste.
