Restaurants and hotels around the country tell us about their events, new services, promotions and offers

BigHospitality rounds up the offers, promotions and other special events running this week at restaurants and hotels around the country.

Chelsea Flower Show

London`s Royal Lancaster Hotel and restaurant and bar Pearl have both drawn inspiration from this year`s RHS Chelsea Flower Show for their latest promotions. The Royal Lancaster is serving a £25 `floral` afternoon tea complete with pastries featuring flowers, including jasmine, rose petal and lavender, throughout the course of the four-day horticultural show. At Pearl, head mixologist Gustavo Bertolucci has created a Chelsea Flower Show cocktail for £13.75 - a blend of Tanqueray gin, Kwai Feh lychee liqueur, Ruinart Rose Champagne, cranberry juice, cranberry syrup, and orange bitters, garnished with a Singapore orchid - on sale for another four weeks.

La Fete de St Tropez

Le Bouchon Breton is hoping for some sunny weather with the launch of its Fete de St Tropez promotion. Chefs at the French restaurant in Spitalfields have created three new hot fish and shellfish platters for two people that customers will be able to eat on their new terrace. Platters are served with crusty bread and rose wine and start at £40.

Kids in the kitchen

The Ramada Manchester - Salford Quays has joined forces with local school St Joseph`s RC Primary in Salford to help teach children about healthy eating and cookery. Each week teachers and their pupils are invited to the hotel`s Italian restaurant Stresa where they are taught how to cook and learn about life in a busy restaurant. The restaurant has also put healthy option dishes for children on its menu and is donating £1 from every dish towards the school`s forthcoming trip to Rome. General manager Paul Gallon said: “The last few years have seen the city evolve into a world class leisure destination which some great restaurants, theatres and museums drawing people in from all over. I think it’s valuable to show the kids what is being achieved. To us it’s an honour to offer our restaurant to the school to help them spread the message of healthy eating. Maybe we’ll even find the next Jamie Oliver.”
