Zandi brothers to launch third London restaurant
El Norte (The North) is being billed as ‘a first for London’s Spanish restaurant scene’, taking its cues from the north of the country by way of a sharing menu of traditional dishes with ‘a modern and luxury twist’.
Details about the menu or chef are yet to be announced, but diners can expect ‘chic and sophisticated’ interiors and an ‘exceptional’ wine list.
Born in Spain, Alberto and Arian Zandi opened Kensington Latin American restaurant Zuaya in 2018. The pair followed up with a Como Garden last year after securing a space to the rear of Zuaya.
Como Garden's look is inspired by the Northern Italian lake but offers dishes from across Italy.
Further expansion is apparently on the cards with the brothers eyeing ‘several’ other central London locations as well as international sites.
