Second Berkshire restaurant for Wogan's daughter
Sir Terry Wogans daughter Katherine Cripps and her husband Henry celebrate the launch of their second pub restaurant in Berkshire

Husband and wife team Henry and Katherine Cripps have opened their second restaurant pub in Berkshire.

The White Oak opened in Cookham last week following three months of building and renovation work.

The couple`s second venture will follow the same format as their first pub restaurant, The Greene Oak in Oakley Green, serving British and modern European dishes made with seasonal, free-range and organic produce, where possible.

Executive Head Chef Jack Woolner will oversee both kitchens with Head Chef Paul Bannister running The White Oak kitchen on a day-to-day basis. Front-of-house manager is Andy Deeley who has previously run his own pub and has worked as a chef.

Henry said: “Our aim is to provide a relaxed, informal atmosphere with excellent food, wine and service. We hope that our customers will like the way we have retained the quaint characteristics of the charming old building, but brought it into the 21st century with a stylish, chic interior and first class food and service."

Friends and family, including Katherine`s parents - radio and TV presenter Sir Terry Wogan and his wife Lady Helen (pictured with the couple above) - helped celebrate the launch on November 8.
