Jamie Sherriff buys second London gastropub
The former Zucca restaurateur and The Spencer Arms owner takes over The Salisbury gastropub in Fulham

Jamie Sherriff, the landlord of Putney Common gastropub The Spencer Arms, has taken over The Salisbury pub in Fulham.

Sherriff, who co-founded the successful Notting Hill restaurant Zucca, has restored and refurbished the pub situated off the Fulham Broadway and turned it into a relaxed bar and restaurant with Art Deco style furniture.

Head chef Adrian Jones, who has been in charge of the menu at The Spencer Arms, has also created a menu for the new venture.

Small plates and English tapas dishes replace starters and mains focus on simple gutsy English and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, such as Roast Lamb, Lamb Meatballs, Chorizo, Garlic Leaf, and Del Monico Potato and Pheasant and Foie Gras Pie.

Sherriff spent two years managing Upstairs at The Oak in Westbourne Park Road before launching The Spencer Arms in 2005 with Jones.

He sold off his share of Zucca in 2001 after four years of managing it.
