Dolce Hotels appoints senior management team to grow portfolio

Dolce Hotels & Resorts is hoping that the appointment of three new members to its senior management team will enable it to meet its aim of doubling its worldwide portfolio over the next five years.

The hotel group, which has 24 properties in Europe, America and Canada, has appointed former Omni Hotels employee Richard Maxfield (pictured right) chief operating officer of its properties and conference centres in Europe and North America.

In his new role, Maxfield will be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all field operations including oversight of the company’s luxury hotels and 10,000 employees.

Wyndham Hotels` former president Peter Strebel joins the company as chief revenue officer and will be responsible for global sales, marketing and development in North America while Sarah Woodfin Wynn joins as general counsel for the hotel group.

Woodfin Wynn, who also joins the company from Wyndham hotels, will take charge of all legal functions for Dolce.

All three new members will report to Dolce`s president and chief executive Steven Rudnitsky.

He said: “I am delighted that we are gaining the calibre of talent and extensive industry experience that Peter, Richard and Sarah represent.

“Now that my senior team and strategic business plan are in place, we have set the table for Dolce’s aggressive growth as the economy recovers”.

• The Strand Palace Hotel in London is also hoping to grow its business with the appointment of Jacky MacKay as its new head of sales & marketing.

In her new role, MacKay will focus on growing the brand following the hotel`s multi million pound refurbishment and will be leading the sales team to develop greater contact with their corporate clients.
