InBev UK has launched a new Stella Artois chalice glass that it claims keeps beer colder and offers better head retention than other glasses

The new branded chalice glass retains the beer’s head for 45 per cent longer than other key competitor glassware, and has been designed to hold both Stella Artois 5% and 4%. The glass also keeps beer 23 per cent colder than other pint glasses after ten minutes.

Andreas Hilger, marketing director for InBev UK, said the glass would help retailers build sales through offering an improved drinking experience.

“Product quality is increasingly important at a time when market conditions are very challenging and pub-goers are increasingly demanding in terms of quality and value-for-money,” he said. “We are ensuring that stockists of Stella Artois can exceed these consumer expectations on a consistent basis with the new Chalice.”

The brewer claims that 37 per cent of consumers who have drunk from the new chalice are more likely to buy Stella Artois in the future, while men believe the glass makes them look and feel ‘more sophisticated’.
