BigHospitality’s sister title Restaurant magazine has been named the Monthly Business Magazine of the Year in the PPA Awards 2010.

Having first launched in 2001, Restaurant magazine has been a leading resource for the UK restaurant trade, providing industry news, practical hints and advice for operators, interviews with top chefs and owners and numerous in-depth features exploring key issues.

At an awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane, Restaurant joined the likes of Empire, Time Out and Men's Health who also collected accolades.

Tim Brooke-Webb, Restaurant magazine publisher, said: "We're absolutely delighted with the award. It's a true reflection of how far Restaurant has come in the past couple of years and we are pleased that we've been recognised for continuing to address key issues facing the industry. And its great to be able to tangibly demonstrate to our readers and clients that their trust in us is well placed."

Since relaunching in October 2008, Restaurant magazine, which organises the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best awards as well as the National Restaurant Awards and R200 list of leading operators, has strived to help readers operate their business effectively and successfully.

Paul Wootton, editor of Restaurant magazine, added: "I'm absolutely delighted that the hard work, talent and creativity of our team has been recognised in this way. And for me it demonstrates the importance of teamwork, and of the kind of results a closely-knit group of people who support and trust each other can produce."
