Hilton Worldwide and De Vere appointments
Terry McBeth has joined the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor as sales manager having previously worked at the Caledonian Hilton and the King James Thistle Hotel in Edinburgh.
The hotel can cater for 12 to 500 delegates as part of its banquet and conference offer, and also features the Townhouse restaurant and Bar 121.
Steve Hall, general manager at Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor, said: “Terry is a tremendous addition to the team and we’re confident he’ll continue to develop the hotel’s reputation for excellent quality and service.”
New general manager at De Vere Grand
Andrew Mosley joins The Grand in Brighton from Norton Park in Winchester, part of QHotels, where he oversaw a £14m investment in the property.
It is the third time Andrew has worked for De Vere, who own The Grand. He started his career as a porter at the Royal Bath in Bournemouth whilst studying for a degree in hotel management, and later had spells as a general manager in Swindon and as director of operations at The Belfry near Sutton Coldfield.
Mosley said: “I’m looking forward to working closely with Visit Brighton, the local tourism body, and other industry partners in Brighton to attract more conference business to the Grand, whilst on the leisure front we will be hoping to build the short-break and weekend visitor market as more and more people rediscover all of what this classic seaside destination has to offer.”
