Atmosphere Bars & Clubs to double estate by end of 2013
The company's third branch of Modello Bar & Kitchen will open in Bedford on 15 November on the former site of nightclub New York New York following £1m of investment.
It will have a more 'Mediterranean' feel than existing sites in Yeovil and Watford, according to a spokesperson for Atmosphere Bars & Clubs with a wood-fired oven a major feature in the open kitchen, and will provide a blueprint for the brand as it moves forward.
"Having learnt from the first two openings of Watford and Yeovil, Bedford will see a more Mediterranean feel to the design of Modello Bar & Kitchen and will have a new and improved food and drinks offer," she said.
Expansion
The latest Modello opening marks the start of major expansion plans for Atmosphere, which formed last year when it took over 18 of Luminar's Chicago Rock Cafes and nine nightclubs.
The company, which targets the 25 to 40-year-old market in medium to large towns in England and Wales, plans to open one more Modello Bar & Kitchen before the end of the year and another six in 2012. It will then aim to open two per month in 2013, which will be a mixture of Chicago Rock Cafe and Modello Bar & Kitchen brands.
"In two years time Atmosphere Bars & Clubs will be operating at least 60 venues," said a spokesperson.
Ronnie Singh, manager of Modello in Watford will open the Bedford branch next month and is looking to recruit staff to join him.
