The new hardware comes in two models: the V-R7000 and V-R&100. Both terminals feature a 15.6-inch wide-screen display that can be positioned in landscape or portrait, and are suitable for use in wet environments – with IP53-compliant dustproof and waterproof performance. The V-R7100 also features wireless LAN compatibility, so can be installed almost anywhere.
Based on smartphone technology, the terminals have no fan or hard disk drive so they save power and require minimum maintenance. They are equipped with a battery to protect memory data in case of a power failure.
The terminals also feature Casio’s Store PoS Solution – a software suite which manages sales, customers, reservations, and inventory, and can be integrated with Casio’s cloud management tools.
They accept payments through the PayPal app, allowing customers with an iOS or Android phone to use the PayPal app to pay for their food or drink online, eliminating the need for cash.
These are the first widescreen Android-based EPOS terminals to come to market, and they leverage Casio’s Cloud Solution – a unique set of tools that allows operators to view their business data from any location using a computer, smartphone or tablet. Operators can also use the system to add and delete stock and update pricing remotely, giving them complete control and flexibility.
