Former Cantina Del Ponte chef Marco Goldin has revealed plans to open a Mediterranean restaurant at the luxury One Warwick Park hotel.

L’AMORE will launch at the 39-room Tunbridge Wells venue when it opens its doors later this month.

Specialising in Mediterranean small plates 'with an Italian flair', the menu will feature Tuscan sausages, fish from the Cornish coast and beef aged for a minimum of 35 days.

Goldin – who has also worked at Daphne's in Chelsea – said: “For me L’AMORE is about taking the best fresh foods and natural products to create dishes that look amazing on the plate without pretention or unnecessary gimmicks.”

L'AMORE will open for breakfast, drinks and a la carte dining with dishes including Lobster Taglioni; Monkfish Tail with Black and Silver Risotto; and Tiger Prawn Carpaccio with Green Mango Salad, Coconut Milk and Hot Lime Dressing.

The drinks menu will feature both Nutella and Strawberry with Black Pepper Martini’s.

Goldin will oversee the 75-cover restaurant and 12-cover private dining area, as well as the more informal Guest Lounge, Snug, and al fresco Terrace.

One Warwick Park is the brainchild of Kent hospitality company Markerstudy Leisure, which began work on the site in August 2013.

It is set to create 60 new jobs when it opens at the end of June.

The firm operates a number of businesses in the county, including the Salomans Estate country house hotel outside Tunbrige Wells.
