Bonny Porter closes Balls & Company Soho
Australian MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Bonny Porter has closed her Soho restaurant Balls & Company after two and a half years.

The restaurant launched in 2015 and served a menu of ball-shaped dishes, ranging from wagyu beef meatballs to pumpkin pie and balls of quinoa, beetroot and feta.

The team also opened 25-cover cocktail bar Company Below in the basement of the restaurant four months after its launch.

A statement on Balls & Company’s website says: “Balls & Company has been a fantastic journey, however the time has come to close and make way for other opportunities in 2018 and beyond.

“We would like to thank all our wonderful supporters over the past couple of years. It has been our pleasure to see you enjoy our restaurant just as much as we have enjoyed serving you.

“Balls & Company may be closed, but we have an exciting 2018 in the works.”

The restaurant could not be reached by phone and its Instagram account has been inactive since 18 December.

Porter reached the final of the Australian MasterChef competition in 2013 before moving to the UK to work at The Arts Club in Mayfair and Village East in Bermondsey.
