McCain orders in 'Next Level' delivery report
McCain Foodservice has launched a new campaign called Next Level Delivery, which it says provides key insights alongside information on its ‘game-changing’ delivery product range. Conducted by Catalyx, its research found that customers experience a heightened state of emotion while waiting for a food delivery. The chip company believes it is therefore essential that operators don’t disappoint when it comes to food quality. “Amplified levels of disappointment in conjunction with being ‘hangry’ can cause a knee-jerk reaction of a negative review or complaint,” the report states. The report includes six ‘Delivery Truths’ alongside information on McCain Foodservice delivery products range, which includes SureCrisp fries that are designed to stay hotter and crispier for longer and Pickers, which are billed as the ‘ultimate delicious cheesy sides suited for delivery’.

Imola Induction Hob for speedy cooking
SousVideTools launched an induction hob that it says combines state-of-the-art performance with ‘exceptional’ value for the money. Named after Italy’s most famous race track, the Imola Induction Hob is a single hob countertop unit that plugs into a 13amp socket. It has a stainless-steel housing, heavy duty electronic components, and a high impact glass-ceramic top engineered for use in commercial kitchens. Temperature is controlled by a single ‘easy to use’ knob. SousVideTools says the product - which costs £500 - is fast, safe, clean, reliable, and extremely easy to use.

Pinti Inox launches two new ranges
Italian cutlery manufacturer Pinti Inox has launched two new premium ranges. The Sky Range has been designed with flexibility in mind, being a good match for both traditional and modern chinaware styles. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, the cutlery is 4 mm thick and has a mirror finish. Hive is described as ‘not your average cutlery’ thanks to its ABS plastic handles that can stand up to professional use and a matt finish on the blade. The range is fully forged and available in three different handle colours: matt black, matt white and matt merlot.

Tabasco heads to South East Asia
Tabasco has launched a new variant inspired by South East Asia’s famed sriracha, a chilli, vinegar and garlic-based hot sauce. Tabasco Sriracha Sauce is made from red jalapeños and barrel-aged peppers and is  preservative free, fat free, gluten free and suitable for vegans. A much thicker sauce that the majority of Tabasco’s other products, the product comes in 256ml squeezy bottles. Tabasco suggests partnering it with South East Asian dishes involving noodles and rice but also fries, burgers and as a dip for fried chicken.

Santa Maria launches Spice Hacks
Spice company Santa Maria has teamed up with Simon Hulstone of The Elephant in Torquay and Lee Desanges of Birmingham’s Baked in Brick to create a series of ‘spice hacks’. The free to download guide has been created to help operators save costs, time and space and meet the increased demand for delivery. “Santa Maria products enhance recipes, increase flavour and ultimately I’m using less, as the flavour is 10 times better. They bring all the other ingredients to life, without overpowering or unbalancing my dishes. Pure sorcery,” says Hulstone. To download the guide head here.
