Korean Dinner Party to open in Soho's Kingy Court
Korean Dinner Party will be located at the top of Kingly Court in Soho from and will serve an East-meets-West menu developed with the help of Gonçalves and Meng by to a background of Korean hip hop.
Starters will include bacon mochi with gochujang caramel and spring onions; crispy kimchi pancake with onion and oyster mayo; beef tartare; a US-style cheesy corn dog with mozzarella, ketchup and mustard; and Korean-inspired fried chicken nuggets served with garlic cream, parmesan and rice sticks.
The restaurant will also a range of tacos, such as pork neck al pastor topped with ssamjang, chilli relish, slaw and housemade wheat wrappers alongside more classic dishes such as a kimchi stone pot with potato, enoki mushrooms, tofu, egg yolk and brown rice.
Sides, meanwhile, will include white kimchi with Chinese cabbage pickle, wakame, carrots and an apple dressing, and kimchi fried rice with curry sauce, garlic mayo and a fried egg.
The drinks list will feature cocktails, beers, wines and craft sake from Peckham-based Kanpai, the UK’s first sake brewery. Drinks will include a Yakult Royale, with champagne, yoghurt soju and a Yakult foam; and a Plum Americano made with Korean plum wine blended with Kanpai’s British Japanese umeshu.
