Pret A Manger, McDonald’s, KFC and Itsu to speak at this year's Hostech conference

Pret A Manger, McDonald’s, KFC, Tortilla, and Itsu will deliver keynote sessions at technology-focused conference Hostech, which returns on 27 April 27.

The annual conference, which is being held at London’s Ham Yard Hotel, will focus on the latest innovations in hospitality technology, bringing together of operators, suppliers and industry innovators to discuss the growing role of tech in the sector.

Pret chief information and transformation officer Sarah Venning will share details of the pilot launch of the brand’s loyalty scheme Pret Perks, which is the latest step in the company’s omnichannel transformation plan.

Itsu chief customer officer Neil Miller will discuss how key digital milestones have impacted F&B, including the explosive growth of smartphones, as well as the challenges the high street group will need to overcome to succeed in its digital transformation journey.

Insight will also come from the fast food giants at the event with McDonald’s delivery director Dan Smith joining Deliveroo to discuss the latest innovations in delivery, and how it is shaping quick service restaurant operations.

KFC UK & Ireland chief technology officer Jatin Chandwani, meanwhile, will share progress on the brand’s three-year digital strategy, which focusses on digital experiences, data analytics, restaurant automation and proactive service.

Also joining the schedule are disruptive brands Taster, the virtual restaurant operator from former Deliveroo executive Anton Soulier, and Sunday, Big Mamma Group co-founder Victor Lugger’s restaurant payment app that has secured $100m worth of investment.
