Californian/Mexican restaurant group Tortilla has entered into a partnership with food delivery start up Growth Kitchen to boost its delivery availability.

The partnership will support the opening of multiple delivery kitchens in the coming years following the success of Tortilla’s Growth Kitchen hub in Balham, south London.

The deal will help Tortilla become available to the most high-demand delivery postcodes across the UK in the near future and is in line with the company’s strategy to capitalise on the high deliverability of its products, which include burritos and nachos.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Growth Kitchen, as we continue to find more innovative ways of getting our quality product to our customers as quickly as possible,” says Andy Naylor, CFO and commercial director at Tortilla.

“It's a great way for us to continue to grow our business, testing new areas while increasing our density in existing markets. In collaboration with the team, we will be able to use multiple data sources to analyse, identify and select a pipeline of potential additional areas that will help drive the expansion of our hubs throughout the UK, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the partnership takes us in the coming years.”

Tortilla operates more than 50 eat in and take away locations across the UK and through nationwide partnerships with Deliveroo, SSP and Compass. Internationally, it operates in the Middle East, with 10 stores in Dubai and Saudi Arabia through an exclusive franchise partnership.

Growth Kitchen also partners with restaurant brands, such as Dickie’s at Home, The Athenian, Coqfighter, and Kricket.
