Eastern Mediterranean all day dining group Brother Marcus will open its fourth London restaurant later this month.

Just around the corner from South Kensington tube station on Pelham Street, the new site will incorporate a deli offering for the first time as well the group’s largest bakery counter to date.

Taking over the space that used to be Muriel’s Kitchen, the interior will have a similar look to their other sites ‘transporting guests to the Mediterranean’.

Light and warm tones will run throughout with an abundance of natural materials; rattan furniture, clay pink walls, Mediterranean tiles, cascading plants in woven baskets and soft furnishings.

As well as old classics Brother Marcus South Kensington will have a number of new dishes on the menu including feta and ricotta borek with grilled spring onions and greek yogurt; crispy calamari with garlic and saffron aioli; half chicken with lemon dressing and nigella seeds and a homemade donut with date and tahini cream topped with chocolate and pistachio pasteli.

Brother Marcus’ South Kensington bakery counter will offer a selection of Eastern Mediterranean baked goods including pistachio and cinnamon swirls, almond croissants, tahini blondies, chocolate babka and baklava for customers to eat in or take away, alongside pots of houmous, tzatziki, taramasalata, baba ghanoush, marinated olives, bags of pita, house-made ginger beer and oat iced lattes to take home.

Cocktails will retain the signature Brother Marcus flavours using Eastern Mediterranean herbs, spices and liquors. The wine list will take customers on a journey across Greece, with sparkling, rosé, white and red from different regions in the country allowing Londoners ‘to have a true taste of Greek wine’.

Started by three school friends Alex Large, Arthur Campbell and Tasos Gaitanos in 2016, Brother Marcus has sites in Spitalfields Market, Camden Passage in Angel and the recently launched Borough Yards development near London Bridge.
