Robin Gill and Aaron Potter will launch a second Maria G’s in West London next month in partnership with Pete Warden of LXA Hospitality.

In Fulham, the second iteration of the pair’s casual Italian restaurant follows the success of the original Maria G’s in Kensington, which launched earlier this year.

Located by the river beneath a new residential development on Central Avenue, the new site will be focused on seafood and will feature a raw bar.

Dishes will include hand-dived scallop crudo with green mandarin, chilli and coriander; razor clams dressed in gremolata; and citrus-cured chalk stream trout.

There will also be a number of large pasta dishes designed for guests to share, including baked lobster orzo with winter tomato, fennel and vault vermouth; and spaghetti alla ‘Nerano’, a famous Amalfi pasta dish made with fried courgette and provolone cheese.

These new dishes will be joined by a handful of favourites from Maria G’s Kensington menu including aged parmesan fries; herbed-focaccia; sage and anchovy fritti; and Florentine steak with chicory, gorgonzola and aged balsamic.

The restaurant will feature a large riverside terrace with a retractable roof and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Design features include an open kitchen with a marble dining counter and leather seats, plus a bank of cosy cream coloured booths at each end of the dining room.

Maria G’s Fulham will also feature a separate 50-cover bar overlooking the Thames, with its own small outdoor terrace.

Led by Bar Manager Emmanuel Ferris-Hue, who has previously worked as the head bartender at The Ned and Disrepute, the cocktail list at Fulham will feature fresh spritzes, highballs, and classic Italian cocktails.

“The plan was always to open two Maria G’s restaurants, each with a totally unique identity," Gill says. "The reaction we’ve had for Kensington has been wonderful and now I’m absolutely thrilled to share the new seafood-focussed menu we’ve created for Fulham – and the riverside setting of the new restaurant is just incredible.”

Maria G's executive chef Potter adds: “The food at Maria G’s is exactly how I like to cook and eat – simple, fun, delicious dishes made with beautiful ingredients. Developing the menu with Robin has been a real joy - we bounce ideas off each other naturally and it’s great to see the new menu for our Fulham restaurant develop that way. We can’t wait to share what we’ve created with everyone”.
