Humble Grape chooses Crouch End for sixth site

On Topsfield Parade, Humble Grape Crouch End will serve up a simple small plates menu alongside 400 ‘sustainable’ wines imported directly from Humble Grape’s ‘Hero Producers’.

The 1,200 sq ft, 65-cover site will be split into three spaces: the front bar, dining area and cellar room with design features including cork-clad walls, rustic crates of wine and oak tabletops.

The Cellar Room will seat 12 people in a semi-private space set against the backdrop of a wine cellar. The front of the bar will also house a social space for dining and drinking, with an outdoor terrace of up to 20 covers. 

Dishes on the menu will include favourites from Humble Grape’s menu including crispy cauliflower with lime aioli and chilli ketchup; chilli fried chicken with cauliflower leaf kimchi; and slow cooked halloumi with tomato ragu.

“We are hugely excited about bringing Humble Grape to Crouch End,” says owner James Dawson. “The local, community feel in the area is something we strive to pull through in all our wine bars and restaurants, and Crouch End holds that same neighbourhood feeling. After the many challenges.”

Founded in 2009, Humble Grape operates venues in Battersea, Canary Wharf, Fleet Street, Islington, and Liverpool Street.
