This month's collection of job moves include a new Global Communications Director for Gordon Ramsay Group and a new head of food for Soho House's hotel and diner brand Mollie's.

Soho House’s diner and hotel concept Mollie’s has appointed Kate Brooke-Green (main picture) as its head of food. Brooke-Green moves to Mollie’s from Mustard Foods, a food development company and manufacturer. Here she worked as head of food nnovation, working alongside culinary directors and other senior operational heads for large restaurants and food groups, such as Caprice Holdings, Coppa Club and Leon. PizzaExpress

Stephen Taylor has been named as PizzaExpress' new chief marketing officer.  Reporting to CEO, Paula MacKenzie, Taylor's mission is to 'harness the power of PizzaExpress’ heritage to further develop PizzaExpress as a distinctive and unifying brand'. Taylor's previous roles include European CMO at Samsung; VP Consumer at Paypal and several senior marketing roles at Proctor & Gamble. Most recently he led the global marketing function at Nokia as Global CMO. In his new and expanded role, Taylor will oversee the Digital & Loyalty, Brand & Marketing Communications, Strategy & Insight, Food & Beverage, and PizzaExpress Live Music teams. 

Arc Inspirations

Bar operator Arc Inspirations has named Mike Tye as its chairman. Tye will support the senior team led by CEO and co-founder Martin Wolstencroft in the development of the business, which owns the Banyan, BOX and Manahatta brands. Tye is a former CEO of Spirit Group and is currently chair at the Big Table Group, which owns brands including Las Iguanas and Bella Italia. His appointment comes after non-executive director Steve Richards, who stepped down after nearly five years in the role.

Gordon Ramsay Group

Jo-Milloy

Jo Milloy has been appointed Global Communications Director in a newly created role at Gordon Ramsay Group. Based in the UK, Milloy has been working as a senior advisor to Gordon Ramsay, his restaurant group, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and TV production company Studio Ramsay Global for several years, whilst also aiding a roster of high-profile clients including the now Princess of Wales’ Middleton family on their personal and business communications messaging. Milloy’s new role will involve overseeing strategic communications for the chef’s growing business portfolio including hospitality, TV production, publishing, content and product partnerships.

Holborn Dining Room

Liam Fauchard-Newman has joined Holborn Dining Room as head chef. The former head chef at The Swan in West Malling has also worked at The Square in Mayfair and the Fenchurch restaurant at the Sky Garden. He will lead the kitchen team at the British brasserie, located at Rosewood hotel in Covent Garden, which includes head pie maker Nokx Majozi. “I’m excited to be heading up the kitchen at Holborn Dining Room, known for its innovation and quality of service,” he says. “I have always loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and I look forward to evolving the menus and guest experience, focusing on seasonality and sustainability.”

The Churchill Bar & Terrace in Marylebone has appointed Gaston Fusco as its new bar manager. Fusco’s CV includes eight years in the industry in Dubai including the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, CLAW Restaurant and La Casa del Tango. He was most recently restaurant and bar manager at Taikun at the Hilton Habtoor. “I have long dreamt of working in London, home to some of the best bars in the world, and the Churchill Bar & Terrace’s has been on my radar for many years. With its imaginative drinks list, enchanting history and reputable team, I am truly excited to be working in such a creative environment with experts of the London hospitality industry,” he says.

St John’s Wood Indian restaurant Ritu has employed ex-Quilon manager Ragbir Sinha as its new general manager. Sinha has worked at the Michelin-starred Victoria restaurant since 2014. Sinha was born and raised in Bangladesh and moved to the UK in 2006 to study management and finance in London. During his studies, Sinha worked in the hospitality industry part-time with a focus on Indian restaurants. After completing his degree, Sinha joined a chartered accountancy firm in Canary Wharf as an account assistant for TD&A, before landing his role at Quilon in 2014.

Dessert restaurant brand Creams has appointed Everett Fieldgate as its new CEO as the company enters its next stage of growth internationally and in the UK. With over 17 years spent working exclusively in the food and hospitality industries, Everett joins Creams from Dubai where he worked across multiple disciplines as franchisor and franchisee with Yum!, Americana and Costa Coffee. Prior to that, he was at KFC UK & Ireland where he rose through the ranks from commercial director through to chief vevelopment officer of the company’s MENA business. Creams managing director Othman Shoukat will remain in place until the end of year for ‘a smooth transition’ before stepping down from the day-to-day running of the business. 

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Cadbury House

Brady Smith has been appointed general manager at the 134-bedroom DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Cadbury House. Smith - who was operations director at the North Somerset hotel from 2014 to 2018 - was most recently in charge of the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, where he oversaw the £50-million development of the newly opened five-star venue in the Welsh capital. Prior to this he oversaw the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay.
