Tozi Grand Cafe to open at Battersea Power Station
Tozi Grand Cafe will be part of the new art’otel London Battersea Power Station and will be modelled on the grand cafes of Europe.
Opening on 12 December, it will serve an all-day menu created by executive head chef Lee Streeton, formerly of 45 Jermyn St and Daphne’s, in partnership with Tozi Victoria’s head chef Maurilio Molteni.
Breakfast items will include Italian takes on brunch such as baked eggs; spianata piccante; and puttanesca, with mains such as veal Milanese; and lobster linguine. There will also be a cicchetti offer featuring the likes of beef carpaccio,pickled mushrooms and parmesan; and baked scallop with nduja served alongside salads and antipasti.
Design features of the double-height height restaurant will include hanging sculptural light fittings, tapestries throughout the space, floor to ceiling windows, and alfresco terrace.
Tozi Grand Cafe will be the group’s third restaurant and second in London. It launched in Victoria in 2013, with a second restaurant opening in Amsterdam in 2019.
