Speakers from leading restaurant brands including Itsu, Burger King, Boparan Restaurant Group, Mollies, Gail's Bakery, BrewDog, and Big Table Group will speak at next month's technology conference Hostech.

The annual event, being held on 8 February at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho, London, will address key tech developments in the hospitality sector, including the growing use of robotics, flexible staffing tools, at-table entertainment and omnichannel as well as chart the digital transformation of some of the sector's leading players.

Speaking at the event, Burger King’s director of digital Tim Love will discuss the fast food chain’s app-based rewards scheme, including the aims and objectives, the tech and the results so far.

Itsu’s chief customer officer Neil Miller, meanwhile, will give a unique insight into the highs and lows of delivering a digital transformation programme including the opportunities, challenges and the lessons learnt - and will reveal if those big bets are delivering on their promise.

Gail’s head of ecommerce Rosie Hill will provide an exclusive presentation exploring the brand’s digital transformation over the past year, following the new investment it secured in 2021, and BrewDog Bars CEO James Brown will discuss how new flexible ways of working are appealing to a mobile-native generation alongside Chris Sanderson, CEO of shift working marketplace Limber.

There will also be a panel session exploring the use of tech in the coffee shop sector, featuring WatchHouse Coffee CEO Roland Horne, 200 Degrees’ commercial director Will Kenney and Crosstown Doughnuts and Slerp co-founder JP Then.

Separate panel sessions will explore the use of robotics and automation in hospitality and promotions, loyalty and targeted marketing.
