The Wolseley Hospitality Group's Baton Berisha to speak at March's R200 conference

Baton Berisha, newly appointed CEO at The Wolseley Hospitality Group; Charlie Gilkes, co-founder of progressive bar business Inception Group; Prue Freeman, founder of creative all-day dining group Daisy Green Collection; and Brindisa founders Monika Linton and Ratnesh Bagdai are among the speakers at next month’s R200 Conference and study tour.

The free-to-attend conference, which is being held at the stunning new Battersea Power Station development in London on 23 March, will feature presentations and discussions from representatives at leading hospitality businesses as well as up-and-coming restaurateurs.

Also speaking will be Brian Hannon from Brat and Kiln owner Super 8 Restaurants; chef and restaurateur Robin Gill; James Robson from Fallow; AngloThai’s John Chantarasak; Adejoké Bakare from West African restaurant Chishuru; Maria Yanez and Carlos Socorro from Latin American-focused Crudo Cevicheria; and Omar Shah and Florence Mae Maglanoc, from fast-growing Maginhawa Group, which owns brands including Ramo Ramen and Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream; as well as Ted Schama from Shelley Sandzer.

Topics covered will be the opportunities for growth in 2023, London’s property landscape, the emerging cuisines set to make a mark on the capital and across the UK and what the current economic headwinds mean for businesses.

Berisha will discuss the forthcoming opening of The Wolseley City and seafood-focused Manzi’s in Soho, the group’s growth strategy under its new ownership, and its future plans.
Gilkes will talk about how Inception has built a highly-creative set of brands, including Mr Fogg’s and the newly-opened Control Room B at Battersea Power Station, while Freeman will discuss Daisy Green Collection’s

eclectic collection of venue, how the group has successfully tapped into the all-day dining market , and its continued expansion.

The conference will be followed by a free food and drink study tour of Battersea Power Station operators, including a visit to Control Room B, the stunning bar located within the Grade II listed Battersea Power Station’s old 1950s control room overlooking one of the power station’s two giant turbine halls, and tapas restaurant Brindisa Battersea.
