Football loving hospitality operators are being encouraged to put forward a team for charity event Hospitality Kicks, which is being held in Manchester this summer.

Founded by Wireless Social, the event will bring together 40 teams from across the hospitality sector with the goal of raising £50,000 for three industry charities – Licenced Trade Charity, Only a Pavement Away, and Tim Bacon Foundation.

It is being held on 27 June at Wythenshawe Sports Ground in Manchester with operators and suppliers being asked to enter a team of seven players into the day-long tournament. Entries cost £300 per team for operators and £800 for suppliers.

Sponsors are also being sought for the branding of footballs and corner flags as well as for operating food and drink stands and the after-party entertainment.

Matches will kick off at 9am and will be played until 3pm, with food and drink available throughout the day. The event will conclude with entertainment and drinks running until 6.30pm.

The Tim Bacon Foundation was founded in memory of restaurateur Tim Bacon and supports people who are living with cancer. The Licensed Trade Charity helps people in the pubs, bar, brewery, wine and spirits sector, while Only a Pavement Away is a charity that supports people facing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans into careers within hospitality.
