Jamie Oliver Restaurants plans to treble its footprint in India and expand to new territories across the subcontinent.

Jamie’s in India is a partnership between Dolomite Restaurants Pvt, the master franchisee for Jamie’s Italian, Jamie’s Pizzeria and Jamie’s Diner brands in India, and Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group. It is already the largest Italian casual dining chain in India with 20 sites in 9 cities, but the plans are to grow that to 60 sites in the coming years.

The expansion plans come following the sale of Dolomite’s Wendy’s restaurants to Rebel Foods, allowing it to focus its efforts on growing the Jamie’s brand in India.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve more customers in more places and will work night and day to fulfil our mission of bringing fresh, good, healthy and authentic food to every corner of the country,” says Jasper Reid, the promoter of Jamie’s India.

“Jamie’s has been a great business and we are very bullish on the growing casual dining sector in India. Customers want to go out, to socialise to get great personal service. This is what Jamie’s does, every day, every time”.
Reid describes the market potential for Italian food, and especially pizzas, in India as “huge”, with the potential for more than 200 locations over time.

“We are hugely excited to be working with Jasper and The Dolomite group to continue to expand our offering in India. We pride ourselves on delivering joyful meal moments for all our customers with high quality, delicious meals,” says Ed Loftus, group director at Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group.
