‘Gourmet’ QSR brand Eggslut is to open its first London location housed within a food hall under a new partnership with Market Halls.

The US-founded breakfast and brunch chain will launch its latest outpost in the capital later this month within Market Halls Victoria.

It will operate alongside the group’s restaurants in Notting Hill, Fitzrovia and Shoreditch.

As well as being Eggslut’s first food hall location, it will also be the group’s first London site to stay open into the evening with service running until 10pm.

The menu will feature all of Eggslut’s ‘signature’ dishes including The Fairfax sandwich with soft scrambled eggs and cheese in a brioche bun; and the eponymous ‘slut’, which features a coddled egg on top of potato puree that’s poached in a glass jar and served with baguette slices.

It will also include a new spicy chicken sando (pictured) that will be available exclusively at the Victoria outlet and consist of spicy fried chicken and sriracha, in-house pickled cabbage and free range over-medium egg in a brioche bun.

Eggslut started life as a Los Angeles street food business in 2011 when it was founded by chef Alvin Cailan, opening its first bricks and mortar restaurant in LA’s Grand Central Market.

It has since expanded internationally as well as in the US, and now has locations in Singapore, Korea and Japan alongside London, where it launched in the summer of 2019.
