Eggslut has chosen Statford’s East Village development for its largest UK restaurant yet.

Set to open later this month, Eggslut Stratford will be the first of the US-born premium egg sandwich brand's UK sites to trade at night.

The 90-cover restaurant will be open from 8am to 10pm every day and will offer an 'exclusive' evening menu that will feature The Romesco, a warm brioche bun with slow-cooked crispy pork belly, free-range over medium egg, Romesco sauce and rocket (pictured above) with more dishes set to be revealed in due course.

The Stratford location will join Eggslut’s existing locations in Notting Hill, Fitzrovia, Shoreditch and Market Halls Victoria and will bring the brand up to a total of 17 sites worldwide.

“We are so excited to bring another store to our customers. Longer opening hours, new menu items, big terrace for the warmer days. We had so many followers asking to open in East London and we can’t wait," says operations manager Bruno Pires.

Richard Allen, head of retail at Get Living for East Village added: “Eggslut choosing East Village for its fifth and largest UK location is testament to the diverse and thriving nature of this established neighbourhood. Eggslut is the perfect addition to the existing line-up of independent cafes, restaurants, and bars."

Eggslut started life as a Los Angeles street food business in 2011 when it was founded by chef Alvin Cailan, opening its first bricks and mortar restaurant in LA’s Grand Central Market.

It made its UK debut in 2019 with the launch of its Notting Hill site.
